Regency Wrapping Stays

Wrapping stays like these were worn from the end of the 18th century into the early 19th century. Made from fine, soft beige cotton twill edged in self fabric binding, lined with linen. Used under the light cotton gowns of the period, they are  barely visible and the comfortable wrapping design  is easy to use and wear. The stays comprise of 2 separate pieces that tie around the waist and shoulders, boning at the bust allows for added shape. Fully adjustable back and straps, makes a custom fit every time! The back lacing can be tied in  several ways, not unlike a modern conversion bra...to make sure that no matter what dress you wear this will work! We include extra directions & diagrams for lacing the back of the stay.

Hand sewn finished.
