Based on originals in our collection, this style of shift works for all periods of the 18th century.  Full side gussets, adjustable neck & sleeves.

(We Also offer another option for finishing with a Fixed,

hemmed neckline and fixed cuffs at the sleeve ends)

Made from fine softened light-weight 100% tight woven white linen.  

All finishing is Hand sewn.

Period correct in cut & construction, with side gussets, adjustable neck & sleeves that finish in an adjustable Self fabric Graduated sleeve Ruffle. Made from Fine White Linen (Soft, light 3.5 oz weight).  All finishing is Hand sewn, except hem.

18th Century Stay Busk

These Busks are made from fine hardwood, with smoothly finished edges.

Busks are made to be worn with your stays, behind the lacing, between the layers of your shift and the stays themselves. The Busk offers the wearer greater support for the stays themselves, and evenly distributes pressure from the lacing.

Length from top to bottom: 11.5 inches.
